Elvis Presley was born here in this modest two-story house on January 8, 1935. The Elvis Presley Birthplace is part of the Elvis Presley Park and has been restored to the period before the singer’s family moved to Memphis.
The birthplace has been designated a Mississippi landmark and the park includes the Elvis Presley Museum, Memorial Chapel, Gift Shop and a life-size statue of “Elvis at 13.” (The Park offers complete recreation facilities for picnics and community events.)
